Please follow the link to read a news article out of the Washington Post from 2.18.2010. A woman has started a petition to ban pitbulls in her small town after her grandson had purchased dogs of such breed.

"Why take a chance?" she said. "It's like giving those kids a loaded shotgun to play with and hoping it doesn't go off." as noted by the woman.
Please take note this can be said about any breed of dog, GOOD DOGS START WITH GOOD OWNERS (regardless of breed).
