From Hillside: Sammy is currently undergoing treatment for heartworm. Because of the fact that her and her family lived outside their whole lives, both her and Shawn have heartworm. She needs a foster home asap to help keep her calm during the treatment. She is currently spending her days in our office, hoping she'll be able to stay calm in there. But the shelter is an exciting place, so she'd be better off in a foster home. Please contact us if you are interested in fostering Sammy!!! Please sponsor Sammy to help her with her treatment, so she can soon be healthy, and ready for a forever home! Sammy was taken on a cruelty with some other dogs. Sammy is a little scared at the shelter right now, but is doing remarkably well, considering the terrible life she had. She and her son, Pippin, and other buddy, Shawn were only fed slices of rotten potatoes for food. They weren't named and have basically had no socialization with people. Despite this, Sammy seems to want to be with people and loves just to be pet.
