This is an urgent and serious DO NOT ADOPT - EVER - in respect of the following individual:

This DO NOT ADOPT is being circulated at the request of Abandoned Angels Cocker Spaniel Rescue (www.nyabandonedangels.com), a member of the Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals.

Abandoned Angels recently placed two rescued Cocker Spaniels with Ms. Barr, who indicated that she had a relationship spanning a 10 year period with a professional trainer who would help acclimate them to their new home with her. Information about the "trainer", Jeffrey Loy, can be accessed via the below link:

Unbeknownst to Abandoned Angels, Mr. Loy has previously been charged with multiple counts of animal cruelty. Abandoned Angels became aware of Mr. Loy's background only upon being informed by a witness who was present during their "training" that Mr. Loy repeatedly beat and kicked the two Cocker Spaniels in the presence of the adopter, Ms. Barr, and that he also used a cattle prod on at least one of the dogs. Upon receipt of this report Abandoned Angels made an emergency trip to Ms. Barr's home in Yardley, PA, to reclaim both Cocker Spaniels. Ms. Barr released the dogs only upon being threatened with legal action.

Abandoned Angels is of the opinion that Ms. Barr is not a safe home and that Jeffrey Loy is not a safe trainer. Our urgent advice to all rescues - PLEASE BEWARE OF THEM BOTH!
