CONTACT: hopedogs@comcast.net www.hopedogs.org 717-379-2511 From: hopedogs@comcast.net To: hopedogs@comcast.net Subject: Cocoa & Bronko Need Your Help to Find Forever Homes Hi Everyone, Two HOPE Dogs have found themselves in need of a little help from all of their friends. I know most of you have plenty of furry friends in your homes already, but please take a moment and forward this to your family, friends and co-workers in the hopes that they or someone they know might be the match that these two "kids" have been waiting for. Remember, every HOPE adopter is entitled to a free session with one of the HOPE trainers and free training and behavior support for the rest of the dog's life! Bronko is a four year old American Bulldog mix. He is one of the friendliest boys we've ever had in the program. He loves to have the attention of all of his human friends and believe me, he makes more and more friends with every passing day. People of all sizes adore him as you can see by the photo above taken last week at Borders. Bronko is a star in his obedience training. He came in a rather rambunctious fella', but he has surpassed everyone's expectations by learning all of his obedience skills and then some. He also started agility training this week and we think he would like nothing more than to continue that as well. He was a natural at the jumps and loved the tunnel too...once he got the hang of it. Bronko likes many other dogs, but does not take well to rowdy or dominant males. He likes to have well mannered friends like his current buddies, Chi Chi, Pumpkin, Cocoa and Hercules. He is definitely not fond of the felines so he will need a home without any cats. We would love for him to have a fenced in yard where he could run about and then lounge in the sunshine. Bronko is a big sweetheart who will make a lifelong friend to whoever opens their home to him.

MEET COCOA:
Cocoa is a darling, petite Pit Bull mix who is just a youngster at about 18 months. It took her awhile to settle in after the ordeal that led her to the HOPE Program, but she has adapted quite well. She is a silly girl who likes to play. She's always eager to please and is at her best with a strong, firm leader. Cocoa loves to train and is learning to focus for longer periods of time, even when there are lots of distractions. She is an agility star as we learned last week in class. Once she understood what was being asked of her, she was more than happy to give it a try. Cocoa will do best in a home that loves to exercise and be outdoors. But, she also needs time to be calm and relax. She loves to snuggle with her people once she's worn herself out with playtime, exercise and training. Cocoa is selective about her doggie playmates. She adores her buddy Bronko and also enjoyed Marty's company before he "paroled." She isn't quite as fond of female friends and although she's never lived with cat, we think that a feline friend would probably be too much excitement for her. Cocoa is a really sweet dog who has been waiting a very long time for someone to treat her with kindness and gentleness while providing structure and boundaries for her. She has found that within the walls of the prison and now we just need to find a matching home for her on the outside of those walls.

For more information and to read the weekly journals for Bronko and Cocoa, please go to www.hopedogs.org. You can also submit an adoption application online. Thank you so much for taking the time to read and forward this email. We've had great success before with this method of getting the word out and I hope we'll have the same luck this time. If you have any questions, please feel free to get in touch by phone or email. Hope to hear from you!
